Talented Tuis

(YRS 3-4)

The Talented Tui’s is our year 3 and 4 learning environment. Within our modern learning environment, we have 3 kaiako who each lead their own hapu. This is where tamariki do their core curriculum learning, Te Reo Matatini/Literacy and Pangarau/Math. We follow a school-wide structured literacy approach as well as a structured maths approach through a programme called Numicon.

All areas of the New Zealand Curriculum are integrated into our learning programme and are often driven by tauira/student passions and interests.

Our school values are weaved throughout everything we do, Kakama/Active, Kia Māia/Confident, Auaha/Innovative, Kawenga/Responsible. Our school values align wonderfully with our school wide Resilience Project. This programme enables students to build gratitude, empathy, mindfulness and emotional literacy.
